I take my professional commitments seriously and enjoy being part of a design team dealing with large scale projects with varying degrees of multidisciplinary cooperation. I have had ground experience for the last 13 years in Delhi National Capital Region, managing design & execution teams, helping clients with multipartite negotiations, troubleshooting individual employee issues, connecting vendors to the workflow and working through all this with creativity & integrity. However, not letting experience get in the way, I am looking forward to expanding further as a professional over the coming months and years.
Education and Training
I received my architectural education from the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, India. After graduation I went to work with Osservatorio Colore Liguria, Italy [Jan’06], on urban projects focussing on application of colours in the external environment. Following my return to Delhi [Nov’06], I worked with SKDasAA+U on urban residential, commercial and institutional projects. My interests in sustainable development in the context of urban transformations led me to KU Leuven [’07] where I completed the Masters in Human Settlements programme [’07] & Master of Urbanism and Strategic Planning [’08] degree programme.
Industrial Experience
I was consultant architect to National Research Development Council [’09-’10] for research, design, coordination and supervision of construction of prototype aanganwadis for the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, India, as a part of a larger flagship UNICEF initiative. Till recently I have been working at Vraksh Design Studio, New Delhi [’10-’15] as a senior architect, handling design and development of various residential and institutional architectural projects in the NCR region. Being actively involved with Enness Designs, New Delhi [’11-’14] and Turnkeyy, Kolkata [’16-‘17] for design & supervision of various commercial interior design projects exposed me to multiple facets of the extended construction industry and helped me evolve as a professional. I am currently as associate at Hexagramm Design Studio, New Delhi [’18-‘20] where I handle the landscape portfolio and design management.
Academic Experience
As a parallel to practicing architecture professionally, I have kept my academic inclinations alive as guest faculty to the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi (’10), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprasta University, New Delhi (’11, ’15) and MBS School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi (’11-’14), Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi (’14-’16,’18) and G.D.Goenka University, Haryana (’14-’18, ’20) for the B.Arch program.
